Seen Through A Glass — The Podcast!
From beautiful downtown Millheim, in the smack-dab center of the Keystone State, Lew Bryson presents Seen Through A Glass, a podcast that’s mostly about food and drink in central Pennsylvania.
Seen Through A Glass is about ice cream, beer, hot dogs, whiskey, maple syrup — and the towns where you can find them, from Williamsport to Johnstown, from DuBois to Harrisburg.
Every show has an interview: farmers, distillers, butchers, brewers. I also hit the road to visit restaurants, brewpubs, orchards, or barbecue joints; candy makers, pretzel makers, coffee roasters. Sometimes I tell my own stories, like the incredible timpano we baked last Christmas, or how we started a wine club in Millheim. It’s the only food and drink podcast for central Pennsylvania, and it’s full of our good stories.
That’s the show. Thanks for listening.
The Post-Christmas Coffee Break
I decided that taking a day to tour upstate dive bars with Dave was a bad idea (Cathy let me know it would be a bad idea), and instead dug into the store of saved interviews and found this one with State Line Distillery’s John Mleziva. And since the key of his story was the incredible success of their Coffee Liqueur, I decided to spin the whole episode on coffee. And drank a LOT of coffee while recording it. Enjoy.
