Second Holiday Show Notes: Christmas, Charity, Cookies, and Cathy

Our SECOND holiday episode is about the spirit of the holidays: generosity, giving, and caring for the needy. We have an interview with Shila Ulrich, CEO of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, that we hope will move you to donate to this worthy group to assist people who are hungry, right here in central PA. Click the link and hit the red Give Now button.

There’s also something you’ve been asking for since the first episode: another interview with my wife Cathy. We talk about her love for baking Christmas cookies, and how we both grew to love an odd, kind of adult-pleasing cookie.

What else? How about four What I’m Drinking Today sessions! I maybe got a little carried away. Our sponsor’s session highlights three bookstores in Happy Valley; it’s not too late to pick up a last-minute gift…

We’re having our family Christmas party this weekend, a caroling party with all our friends and family, from here in the Valley and beyond! It’s a nice story about how it started because of a party I went to back in 1975, and how we’ve adapted through the years. I hope it brings a glow to your hearts.

And as I’ve been telling you, we have one more holiday episode to go, where we’ll be shifting drop day to the Friday after Christmas, December 26th. Not sure what it’s going to be yet — a rural pub crawl, multiple What I’m Drinking Today, or maybe talking to Dave and Cathy about their recent trip to Ireland — but it’s going to be in the spirit of Boxing Day: relaxed hanging out. Join us for that one.

Merry Christmas from Seen Through A Glass!
